A special application of the slewing gear units by AUMA Drives is the safe and precise positioning of heavy loads. Contrary to other gear units, neither speed nor efficiency are at focus. Stability and accurate transmission ratios to provide optimum support for the respective transport task count.
Slewing gear units
When handling heavy loads, these gear units will ensure that the wheels of so called heavy-duty module transporters can be controlled independently at a 360° angle. The vehicle can manoeuvre on minimum space, can reverse on the spot or go sideways. The gear unit is also offered with additional planetary gearing and hydraulic motor as complete drive system by AUMA Drives.
